From Complexity to Clarity: How Manetu
Unified Workflows and Data with Temporal and YugabyteDB

How Manetu Boosted Workflow Speed, Reliability, and Simplicity

When mission-critical workflows meet enterprise-scale data, performance and reliability can make or break your system.

Manetu, a leader in policy-based data governance, faced the challenge of running Temporal workflows on a separate database from their primary YugabyteDB cluster — introducing latency, operational complexity, and even workflow corruption under load.

Instead of accepting these limitations, Manetu built an open-sourced,  Cassandra-inspired YCQL driver for Temporal, enabling organizations to run Temporal entirely on YugabyteDB.

The result? A simpler architecture, faster performance, lower latency, and greater reliability.

Why Watch?

Join Greg Haskins from Manetu and Karthik Ranganathan from Yugabyte to learn how they tackled this challenge, what it means for scaling modern data-driven applications, and how you can adopt this multi-modal approach for your own systems.

What You'll Learn

  • How to run Temporal with YugabyteDB
  • How this approach simplifies operations for teams managing large-scale workflows
  • The real-world performance, scalability, and reliability gains of consolidating to a single database
  • Best practices for building resilient, high-performance, open-source-based architectures.
  • How the open-source YCQL driver for Temporal works (and where to get it!)
