Temenos is a global banking ISV leader. 41 of the world’s top 50 banks rely on Temenos. And although many Temenos customers still operate on-premises, many are migrating to the cloud and new customers expect cloud-native solutions. Temenos, in addition, is keen to offer a managed service for customers who do not want the overhead of infrastructure management.

Until now, a monolithic relational database has been the only back-end capable of delivering the transactional consistency Temenos’ applications demand. But monolithic databases impose limits on scale and availability in cloud deployments that are unacceptable to Temenos and its customers.

• How Temenos defined the functional and non-functional requirements for a database to meet the transactional data-layer needs of their envisioned cloud-native vision.
• How Temenos measure success in satisfying these requirements.
• How Yugabyte configured and delivered a solution that delivered and exceeded those requirements.
